The Family Story: George’s Story ||

Molly, James and George are such an inspiration to us and it’s been a true privilege to help them tell George’s story. Molly says, “It’s hard to describe the depths of parenting a child who wasn’t supposed to be but is and has beat ridiculous odds time and again, all the while continuing to have a beating heart and fiery spirit.” 

George was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome and Congenital Heart Disease in utero. I remember sitting on the couch with Molly shortly after they received the news. From that time of so many unknowns and uncertainties, followed by the challenges of giving birth to a medically complex child during the pandemic, plus multiple heart surgeries, countless cardiac echos and hospital visits at Duke Hospital in Durham, NC.

This dear family has navigated each challenge with such love, grace and authenticity. What an honor to witness your family love story unfold - in all the beautiful and sometimes brutal ways - and to now delight in the simple and precious joys of this current season. George’s life is such a gift to the world!
