"When should I book my newborn session?"
NOW would be a good time! I'd recommend booking as early as you feel comfortable doing so.
I always recommend booking early for a couple of reasons:
1. It almost always makes for a better session! In the months leading up to your baby's birth, there are steps I go through to prep you to the very best of my ability.
When you wait until the month your baby is due or after baby is born to book, a lot of the preparation work gets lost in the shuffle. You understandably become sleep deprived and preoccupied preparing for baby's arrival or taking care of baby if he/she/they have already arrived.
When you book months in advance, all of the prep work has been taken care of before you get to this stage and you feel ready to go when baby makes his/her/their arrival!
2. I reserve a limited number of spots for newborn sessions each month! And once they're gone, I can't take on any more in order to give each client the experience and attention they deserve.
It breaks my heart to have to say no to anyone, but it's also part of providing a top-notch experience to the clients who have chosen to book me months in advance.
All of this to say, please book your newborn session early! I promise it's in your best interest to do so!
