The Family Story: We had the privileged of being invited to document a sacred day for the Page Family. After the loss of their pregnancy, they decided to celebrate their son’s life in the most beautiful way. And with this spirit, they created the Sunshine Gathering. A time for those grieving the loss to join in a meaningful way to celebrate the life of Sunshine, to be in awe of the miracle of life and death that is always being interwoven in our human experience, and to create a space for their community to come together. Because Mark and I have known grief and loss well, it always feels like such a natural fit for us to come along other families who are grieving. To wrap them in our love and to reflect back the beauty that is still present even in time of grief.

The Location: Summerfield Farms in Summerfield, North Carolina

I offer hospice photography, NICU photography and grief photography. I feel especially called to help those who are experiencing loss and illness document their journey.
