COVID Safety Plan: Winter 2023 Update

Many of you may know my son has a compromised immune system and he is still recovering from his Bone Marrow Transplant. Because of this I am taking continuing to extra precautions to ensure our mutual safety. Below are some of the ways I’m ensuring I keep your family and my family safe.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

COVID-19 precautions 2023

  1. I wear a mask the entire time.  I will continue to wear an approved n95 mask during your entire session. I also wash/sanitize my hands when I enter and exit your house, but I was doing that before the pandemic, too. When you’re not being photographed, I’d ask you wear your mask – and take it off during the portraits.

  2. Covid testing before your session: I will do a rapid covid test prior to our time together.

  3. Vaccination status: I’ve been vaccinated (and boosted). My entire family and 6 year old son have also been vaccinated. If you have not had the COVID vaccine, please let me know.

  4. Outdoor sessions: Most of my sessions will be outdoors when possible. If an indoor session is strongly preferred, I request both the family and myself do COVID testing prior to our time together.

  5. Only one session per week.  I am spacing out sessions so that I am only in contact with one family per week.  This means less availability in my calendar, but I feel strongly about not having contact with a large number of people in a short amount of time for the foreseeable future. Most of my sessions will be outdoors when possible.

  6. I keep more of a distance… I’m using different gear that enables me to stay more at a distance and give you as much space as possible with the social distancing requirements in mind. I’ll avoid hugs, holding your babies and playing closely with your toddlers. This makes me so sad, but safety is priority!

  7. I sanitize my gear before and after each session. But again, given I have child with a weak immune system, I’ve been in this habit for years!

  8. No rescheduling fees: I’ll also be depending on your transparency to let me know if any of your family members have been ill, had a fever, or contact with someone who’s tested positive for COVID within 10 days of our session. Likewise, I commit to do the same with you. We’ll postpone with no rescheduling fees.
